We, at Mo Chara Animal Rescue, take in and provide care for mis-treated, neglected, abandoned and straying animals. Following rehabilitation and/or attempts to reunite animals with their owners, we rehome the animals in our care into loving, carefully vetted homes. All cats and dogs rehomed by us are vaccinated, treated against parasites, microchipped and neutered (unless they are too young to do so at the time).
We respond to reports of animal cruelty across Tipperary and endeavour to resolve them quickly and to the best interest of the animals involved and when needed, we report such cruelty to the relevant authorities or organisation.
We believe that knowledge is power, and so we eagerly provide Youth Education by partaking in School visits to children and teens.
We cooperate with other animal rescues both in Ireland and abroad to maximise the number of animals we can help together.
When possible we cooperate with local vets to run reduced cost neutering and microchipping schemes.
We also try to help owners responsibly re-home pets that they can no longer look after through advise and advertisment while (when feasible) the animal remains in his/her existing home.
We believe that all animals are entitled to the Five Freedoms as advocated by the DAFM.
Our Mission at Mo Chara Animal Rescue is to rescue and rehabilitate mistreated, neglected, and abandoned animals in Tipperary. We provide essential veterinary care, including vaccinations, parasite treatment, and neutering, and strive to rehome animals into loving forever homes. We actively respond to animal cruelty reports and collaborate with other animal welfare organizations to maximize our impact. Through youth education, we aim to foster a compassionate and informed community that values animal welfare. We believe all animals deserve to live free from suffering and enjoy the Five Freedoms.
Our Vision is a Tipperary where all animals are treated with kindness and respect. We strive to create a community where animal cruelty is unacceptable and every animal has access to the care they deserve. Mo Chara Animal Rescue rescues and rehabilitates mistreated, neglected, and abandoned animals, provides essential veterinary care, and finds loving forever homes for those in our care. We work to educate the public on responsible pet ownership and the importance of animal welfare.
